Born in 1980, Istanbul

He was born in Istanbul in 1980 and is originally from Kastamonu. He graduated from Büyükçekmece Foreign Language High School in 1998 and from Kocaeli University, Department of Civil Engineering in 2003. He completed his Master’s degree in Urban Systems and Transportation Management at Bahçeşehir University, Institute of Science.

He completed his military service as a Gendarmerie Commando Second Lieutenant in Siirt between 2003 and 2004, and subsequently worked in the private sector as a site engineer.

In 2005, he started working at the Pendik Municipality Directorate of Zoning and Urban Planning as a regional engineer. In 2007, with the separation of Building Control operations into a separate directorate, he continued at the Directorate of Zoning and Urban Planning as a rapporteur, and later served as Chief and Deputy Director.

Since 2011, he has held positions including Director of Zoning and Urban Planning, Director of Building Control, Director of Information Technologies, Director of Licensing and Inspection, Director of Survey and Project, and Director of Public Works, and served as a Municipal Executive Committee Member between 2013 and 2021.

As of February 2021, he continues to serve as Deputy Mayor. He is also the Vice President of KAS-DER Pendik Branch and is the father of two sons.
