DUTIES
Monitor legislation related to the directorate’s activities and ensure compliance within the required deadlines.
Conduct and finalize tasks and procedures requiring coordination with other administrative bodies.
Execute work in line with the strategic plan, annual performance program, investment program, and directorate budget.
Fulfill responsibilities outlined in the Pendik Municipality Internal Control Action Plan.
Respond to incoming letters and petitions within the legally required time frame, in accordance with Law No. 3071.
Provide information and documents to applicants under the Law on Right to Information No. 4982, with approval from the Mayor or Deputy Mayor, except for exemptions.
Arrange and finalize procurement, service contracts, and construction works under Public Procurement Law No. 4734.
Develop medium- and long-term strategies and policies for cultural development and municipal objectives.
Maintain records of all directorate operations, including archiving and preservation.
Correspond with other municipal units, official institutions, professional chambers, and stakeholders as needed.
Provide data to the Directorate of Press, Publication, and Public Relations for announcements and promotion.
Plan and implement cultural, artistic, and educational programs to support Pendik district’s cultural development, coordinating with the District Governorship, public institutions, and organizations as needed.
Organize and manage theater, cinema, festivals, fairs, concerts, commemoration programs, exhibitions, conferences, panels, workshops, poetry readings, and other cultural and artistic activities according to strategic planning and performance management.
Prepare and distribute promotional materials such as monthly bulletins, posters, banners, catalogs, and invitations, and manage their dissemination.
Promote events through social media, SMS, and advertisements in coordination with relevant units.
Plan and conduct visual arts, performing arts, instrument courses, educational courses, and traditional handicraft workshops according to strategic plans.
Organize exhibitions and mini-fairs at the end of each season to showcase the products created in courses.
Plan and execute end-of-season performances for performing arts and instrument course participants.
Establish courses and projects in cooperation with NGOs, other institutions, and the District Public Education Directorate, according to demands and needs.
Manage course registration, prepare annual curriculum and schedules, issue certificates, and deliver them to participants.
Track course fees based on relevant municipal council decisions.
Support and follow up events organized by NGOs and other institutions.
Allocate cultural and art centers and foyer spaces to associations, schools, NGOs, and other institutions, and track usage fees per municipal council decisions.
Archive, report, and evaluate completed events and activities in both physical and digital formats.
Operate municipal libraries and plan activities for library members and volunteers.
Promote reading habits through district-wide reading campaigns.
Update, barcode, and organize library books.
Coordinate collection, selection, and distribution of donated books.
Establish libraries and provide book donations to schools and NGOs within the district.
Organize workshops, seminars, reading campaigns, and literacy events to support education.
Support youth in scientific studies, research, and development projects.
Develop projects to help youth use technology effectively and avoid digital addiction.
Organize career guidance, university selection, and vocational orientation activities for youth.
Implement science center activities, workshops, seminars, and reading events to support education.
Conduct and support student courses at schools or municipal facilities.
Establish Family-Child Education Centers and provide age-appropriate educational programs to promote social and educational development of children and families.
Conduct surveys, assessments, and tests to determine students’ interests, expectations, and career planning.
