Duties

Under the assignment of the Mayor, the directorate conducts disciplinary investigations regarding actions of municipal workers, civil servants, and contracted personnel that violate discipline, prepares disciplinary investigation reports, and submits them to the Mayor.

Under the assignment of the Pendik District Governorship, the directorate conducts investigations and/or preliminary examinations regarding actions allegedly constituting crimes under the Turkish Penal Code, as claimed by informants or complainants, for civil servants and contracted personnel working in the municipality, in accordance with Law No. 4483 on the Trial of Civil Servants and Other Public Officials. The directorate prepares investigation reports and/or preliminary examination reports and submits them to the Pendik District Governorship.

The directorate also conducts investigations on matters referred by the Mayor, prepares investigation reports, and submits them to the Mayor.

During all these investigations and disciplinary procedures, if any elements of a criminal offense under the Turkish Penal Code are detected, the directorate, with the approval of the Mayor and through the Legal Affairs Directorate, files a criminal complaint with the Pendik Public Prosecutor’s Office.
